The
go-to person
for
quality.
Most QA engineers cover one dimension. As a Playwright and Selenium automation engineer, I understand the code, the business, and the people — which means I catch what others miss and help teams ship better products faster.
Quality is not a checkpoint.
It's a
mindset.

# about-ana.md
I started as a software developer, which gave me a deep understanding of how things are built — and where they break. Moving into QA wasn't just a career shift, it was a natural evolution toward caring about the full picture.
Over the years I've worn many hats: QA Engineer, QA Lead, Scrum Master, and contributor to product ownership. That combination is my biggest strength — I understand the code, the process, and the business.
Available as a freelance QA automation engineer or on a remote B2B contract, I work with product-driven teams that treat quality as a shared responsibility — not a final gate.
Where I've worked.
Seven companies, six industries, a decade in QA and dev. $ git log --pretty=format
- Delivered quality engineering for a complex, high-traffic B2B platform specializing in iGaming and sports betting solutions
- Designed and scaled automated E2E test suites for multi-layered web applications, ensuring high availability and seamless user experience
- Validated complex third-party API integrations, payment gateways, and backend transaction-heavy workflows using Fast Track CRM
- Spearheaded quality assurance for a prominent Dutch real estate platform, focusing on property management, CRM systems, and user-facing web applications
- Developed automated UI and regression testing suites to optimize release cycles and enhance platform stability
- Conducted thorough API and frontend testing for advanced property search engines, interactive maps, and localized listing data feeds
- Collaborated closely with cross-functional European teams in an Agile environment
- Built automated suites for RESTful APIs and UI tests from scratch — coverage 0% → 65%
- Designed integration tests across cross-functional components for data flow & system stability
- Integrated automation into GitHub Actions CI/CD, cutting manual execution time 50%+
- Authored and maintained test plans, test cases, and technical documentation
- Monitored code coverage and quality metrics with SonarQube
- Led a QA team of 4 on a 100+ microservice platform for a global fashion retailer; evolved into a Service Delivery Manager with direct client-side stakeholder communication
- Developed and maintained a robust automation framework for global-scale products, ensuring high-quality delivery
- Sole QA engineer with production access — post-release smoke testing and production bug investigation via Grafana log analysis
- Led a QA team of 2 on a GIS-based web and mobile application for a global energy corporation; UI, API, and mobile automation (XCUITest, Appium, Swift)
- Built complete QA infrastructure from scratch — test strategy, risk matrix, UI and API automation, integrated into GitHub CI/CD across multiple projects
- Delivered iOS and Android mobile test automation for an online pharmacy app using Appium; manual exploratory testing and log analysis
- Built a reusable Postman collection for test data creation, adopted across multiple teams
- Tested Salesforce CRM integrations via API and UI automation
- Acted as SCRUM Master across multiple projects; led product discovery, requirements gathering, and backlog prioritisation as Service Delivery Manager for 1+ year
- Contributed to a fintech product's discovery phase from a QA perspective — defined testability requirements, identified edge cases early, and shaped acceptance criteria with product and business stakeholders before development began
- Built a UI automation framework using TypeScript and Protractor
- Managed and mentored a QA department of 5 engineers
- Ran client demos and contributed to product discovery and design phases
- Taught QA fundamentals, manual testing, and test case writing
- Test automation with Java/TestNG/Selenium and C#/JavaScript/Mocha
- API testing training with Postman; evolved the curriculum across 7 cohorts
- Developed a custom C# tool for SOAP API testing
- Built UI automation using HP UFT (VBScript)
- Created scripts for file uploads to AWS

Two LGTMs from people who shipped with me. git log --grep="Ana"
"Ana has demonstrated exceptional technical excellence and strategic thinking in her role testing backend services and APIs. Her most significant achievement has been automating the majority of manual tests, a transformation that dramatically improved team efficiency and test coverage reliability. Beyond automation, Ana took on the ambitious task of designing and implementing a comprehensive testing framework for future projects. This forward-thinking work has positioned the team for sustainable, scalable quality assurance processes. Her framework not only addresses current testing needs but also provides a solid foundation for the team's long-term growth. Ana's contributions reflect a deep understanding of both immediate project demands and long-term strategic goals. She has proven herself to be a proactive problem-solver who consistently delivers high-impact work. Her ability to bridge manual testing processes with modern automation practices, while simultaneously building infrastructure for the future, makes her a great addition to any team."
"I'm happy to recommend Ana, who worked as a QA Engineer in our Backend Core area — one of our key engineering teams responsible for the platform layer and a true heart of the product. While I didn't collaborate with her day-to-day (I was Head of Engineering and she reported into a team lead), Ana consistently stood out through the feedback I received from engineering leadership and the teams she supported. She embraced our test automation initiative quickly and helped improve stability in the platform-facing environment — with a pragmatic mindset and strong technical depth. We brought Ana in specifically because we expected her to strengthen the team with her technology expertise, and she clearly delivered on that promise. I'd gladly recommend her to any team looking for a technically strong QA engineer who drives quality and stability."
